Irene Creo

Vigo · 1993

From Vigo by reason, from Veiga by heart. She works in the justice system, is a former Roller Derby player, and belongs to the Comunidad de Escritoras Peligrosas. Her work has appeared in the i Certamen lgtbiq+ de la Culta (2020), the iii Paseo de la Poesía de Coslada (2023), and in Coloquio de resistencia (El Rey de Harlem, 2024). She writes the way someone searches for shells on wet sand: mixing prose and poetry, turning the everyday into symbol. In Salir de casa she maps a journey many women will recognise: leaving behind inherited expectations, the inherited house, to build a home of one's own where love between women can be visible, tangible, and real.
