A teacher by profession and vocation, he taught at every level of education before being appointed Professor of Spanish Language and Literature. He has published several works: professional titles include «El proceloso mundo de las perífrasis verbales», «La superclase de los pronominales», both published by the Spanish Embassy in Brazil, and «Breve acercamiento a la lingüística» (Caligrama). He has also written two novels: a work of historical fiction, «Fiat Volvntas Tva» (Caligrama), and «Una biografía irrelevante: El futuro imperfecto» (Autografía).
